Dear guests, we would like to draw your attention to our house rules and conditions:
Arrival time: 16.00h, Departure time: 10.00h.
The villa is situated in a quiet residential area where people also live permanently. We therefore ask you to be considerate of your neighbours, even if you are sitting outside in the evening. After 23.00 hours no music may be played outside.
Only use bottled water for the coffee machine and the iron. The water contains a lot of lime and causes the appliances to break down quickly. Please don’t put the milk frother in the dishwasher!
Please do not sit on the upholstered benches with wet swimming costumes.
Only use plastic glasses at the swimming pool. If glass is used and something breaks, extra cleaning costs will be deducted from the deposit.
Smoking is not permitted in the villa.
Do not leave burning candles unattended. And make sure that barbecues are turned off when you go to bed.
To prevent clogging, no objects that do not belong in the toilet may be flushed down the toilet. This also applies to wet wipes.
If guests come during the day: they are welcome, but (day)visitors are not allowed to stay overnight.
Casa Haiti is meant for recreational purposes only. You are not allowed to use the villa for any other purpose than its intended one. For example, it is not intended for parties, etc. in the broadest sense of the word.
It is not permitted to take towels, bed linen and/or other linen (with the exception of the bath towel) outside the villa. The same applies to furniture: what is in it must stay in it.
If you discover any damage or defects to the house after arrival, please report this immediately (within 24hrs) so we can do everything within our power to resolve the matter as soon as possible. If any damage or defect occurs during your stay, please report it to us as soon as possible. Any measures can then be taken immediately so that the consequences, damage and inconvenience remain minimal later (both for you and for the next guests). Moreover, you do not necessarily have to be blamed, it can also be a matter of normal wear and tear. Consequential damage or inconvenience suffered by the next tenant as a result of not reporting the damage, whether caused by you as tenant or not, can also reasonably be recovered from you.
It is expressly forbidden to move beds, sound or television equipment or take inventory outside without our permission - except, of course, for your meals out.
On your departure, you must empty the dishwasher, leave the kitchen clean and empty, empty the fridge/freezer, wash all crockery, cutlery etc. and leave it in place to dry, empty the dustbins and put the rubbish in the appropriate containers. Furthermore, the house must be tidied up, i.e. all household goods must be returned to their original state. The fireplace and/or the barbecues must be left free of ashes.
Dirt outside the final cleaning is not in accordance with the contract and will therefore be charged extra (e.g. dirt on floors, furniture, tables, soiled mattresses, etc.) and deducted from the deposit.
The owner cannot be held responsible for theft, accidents or damage occurring during the stay at his property, unless this is due to gross negligence attributable to him. In the event of cancellation due to force majeure, such as war, strike, natural disaster, exceptional weather conditions, death of the owner, etc., the owner may terminate the contract without compensation. If the contract is terminated through no fault of the landlord, the tenant is entitled to an equivalent or better alternative or to a refund of the part of the rent already paid.
The landlord has the right to check and inspect the holiday home during the rental period.
Termination of rental. If the hirer, his family members or visitors admitted by him do not comply or do not comply properly with the obligations from the conditions, the rules of conduct, the directions of the lessor or the government regulations, despite any prior warning, and to such an extent that that, according to the standards of reasonableness and fairness, the landlord cannot be expected to continue the rental, the landlord or his appointed deputy has the right to terminate the agreement with immediate effect, and to deny the tenant and fellow tenants access to the accommodation, without refunding any rental fee. This also emphatically includes not respecting the night's rest or causing unnecessary inconvenience.
If these rules are not complied with, we reserve the right to set off all or part of the deposit.
We wish you a very pleasant stay in Casa Haiti, and thank you for your cooperation and understanding. For questions you can always contact us. We like to help you.
